I know about ScanAmerica, but wasn't home and drove by a bit ago on A Street and saw about 5-6 police cars in what appeared to be a block in of a vehicle at the little drive through place. They had someone in cuffs... any one know what the deal was? Whatever happened, it is good to see that APD got there.

Aproximately 1350 this afternoon, there was a 211 ARMED (ARMED ROBBERY). 2 black males in their early 20s wearing all black, last seen driving a small red 2-door vehicle, possibly a hatchback, late model honda or toyota type with a red 7 temporary DMV sticker in the rear window, robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash.
PD was unsuccessful in located the criminals during an area check, its assumed that they made it to the freeway before PD arrived in the area.
I had my scanner off for a while and I too saw all the commotion around 1800 and wondered what happened. I did hear to units had prisoners in custody and were headed for the jail but its unclear what the charges were.
It wouldn't surprise me if the morons who were responsible for the earlier 211 tried it again and this time APD nailed them. Hopefully somone else will have more info.
