Hayward paid for this? Sounds about right. The only thing Hayward is good at is throwing money away. You want business to come to the city? Try doing something about cleaning up the graffiti, piles of garbage, dilapidated buildings, homeless, street thugs, rampant crime, etc. - the things that keep people moving along to buy things elsewhere. And the businesses mentioned in the study? Are you kidding me? Nobody, and I repeat, nobody that lives in Hayward or that goes through Hayward is going to stop to shop at Saks or AEO or Brooks Brothers. They are going to drive to someplace NICE and SAFE to do their shopping or dining out. Hayward's bright idea? Let's build another theater when they had 3 of them that went out of business. You know why? Because NOBODY WANTS TO COME TO HAYWARD!!! Hellllooooo!!
