What about Contra Costa County? When I was in 5th grade at John Muir Elementry in Martinez in 1962(I'm an old [bleep]) I remember my teacher, Mrs. Wickman, saying that a new sales tax passed that would build a train from C.C.C. to S.F. and cost 10 cents for the ride. That was the premise that the taxpayers of C.C.C. passed the 1/2 cent sales tax for funding. 47 years later, after paying the tax all these years,Antioch,Oakley,Brentwood and Byron don't have squat for their money spent.Oh,S.F. and Pleasanton has BART,when did they start paying into the system? What's wrong with this picture? If the new route to Livermore/Vasco Road connects to Byron/Antioch,I say go for it.If not, they're out of the loop for none payment!

How nice they finally get BART but for those in East Contra Costa WHO HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR YEARS still do not have BART in Brentwood. What do we get for our years of paying into a service? eBART....a bus with closest station Pittsburg. Thanks!

Livermore is part of Alameda County, which has been paying for BART as long as Contra Costa County has. While the extension to Livermore is long overdue, the folks in East CC County are continuing to wait. I would love to see BART wrap around Mt. Diablo and connect Livermore with Pittsburg and have some stops in Brentwood and Antioch.
