there is a web site that you can build your profile and it will display your previous duty stations,campaigns and other personel that were there when you were, once you build your profile there is an area you can click called also there and every one on this site will show up who was there and you can go to their profiles and click and e-mail them and see where they have been in their careers,your profile will show full display your medals and qual pins and much much more it is an amazing site you get a free 30 day trial and if u want to sign for a year it is 20 dollars this site is ran by a retired chief and there are almost 700,000 members this site is for active duty and retired,and veterans if you have served in the navy this is a must you will find people you havent seen in years so you vets try it and give me some feed back. it will take you a while to figure out the many features this site has but they are so valuable. jerry

Jerry, I've been on www.togetherweserved.com since it was formed. It is a great way to reconnect with former shipmates. I even reconnected with a guy I was in boot camp (1964) & A School (1966) with, and he still lives in the Bay Area!

Actually, I started out as a RMSN in the Naval Reserve, but when my TSSI clearance came in I was switched to CTRSN (Manual Morse Intercept Operator). At my first duty station overseas I ended up in the Processing & Reporting Division in a 3-man unit breaking Soviet codes and ciphers.
When I got tired of running over to an officer who was a Russian linguist to see if I was on the right track, I reenlisted for Russian language school, converted to CTI2, and the rest is history
