So with all of the city budget problems and crime going through the ROOF!!! What about a 25 dollar subsidy on our property taxes that will go ONLY for more police?

What about an outside auditor, auditing the schools and see where the money is going? There was a link on you tube showing Detroit school employees were buying all types of products and selling them for personal profit. Everything from heart diffribulators to used cars and motorcycles. They were also collecting paychecks for employees that had passed away.....Now how the he_ _ does this happen?

WASHINGTON — Students beware: The summer vacation you just enjoyed could be sharply curtailed if President Barack Obama gets his way.

Obama says American kids spend too little time in school, putting them at a disadvantage with other students around the globe.

"Now, I know longer school days and school years are not wildly popular ideas," the president said earlier this year. "Not with Malia and Sasha, not in my family, and probably not in yours. But the challenges of a new century demand more time in the classroom."

Did anybody smell the really strong natural gas odor last night? My son noticed it in the garage and woke me up around midnight. He thought there was something wrong with our water heater. I checked, and the pilot light was on, so my next thought was the meter outside. The odor was so strong outside, it was hard to breathe. I called 911 and was told they recieved dozens of calls from southeast Antioch, but nobody knew where it was coming from.

This morning it was gone, and I haven't read anything about it.

Yesterday, I was driving down Lone tree (in Antioch) and I couldn't help but notice all the trash! It's pretty disgusting! What can we do as a community to help this situation? Im pretty sure it's from the kids that attend DVHS, but how can we fix this problem?

Supposedly there were 6 vehicles involved in an accident on Lone Tree Way Friday night caused by a person driving a stolen car.  Driver ran?  This would have happened near Davidson and Clayburn.  There has not been any mention of it in the CCTimes.  Just wondering if anyone may have any info.  Like I said "Supposedly" ... There was definitely an accident but I am not sure of the circumstances. Thanks

I went to footlocker and the other shoe store in the mall to buy my daughter some shoes.  Footlocker, absolute fail.  4 different shoes chosen "we dont have your size".   The other sports store,  the name slips my mind, first pair i chose for her "we dont have you size".  Well, cya later.   100 bucks lost off this family just at the shoe store.  I was looking to buy her 2 pairs of shoes and go get some clothes for her.   Old navy, target and jc penneys were rewarded due to their lack of stock.  macy's in concord got the sale for my neice's bday present as well.  Get it together
