The problem with firing him is who will you find to replace him? If you keep on hiring coaches, then tell them what to do, and them fire them for poor results, the quality of coach that will except the job dries up. If Davis wants to coach he needs to bring his [bleep] out of the luxury box and coach for himself. If you want results you are going to have to bring in a John Gruden and let him run the show. Fire Cable NO, FIRE DAVIS. Hey Al, each year your team does so badly your team gets to be worth less and less.

20 games into the Cable era....huh......6-14 record and same dysfuntions prevalent in the organization. Cable is nothing more than a Kiffin carry over. Just like the great Rich Gannon said recently, "the only thing left to do is to blow up the building and start over from scratch". First and foremost, Al Davis needs to relinquish control and hire a GM. I say bring Lombardi back as GM and give him complete control over personnel. His first duty, hire an ESTABLISHED NFL head coach. Candidates such as Marriucci, Gruden, Gilbride, come to mind. The dream would be a Cowher or Dungy (they just might get the urge to come back!) The next step would be to move the team back to Los Angeles and into a new Mecca stadium. Step three would be pay Jamarcus Russell his guaranteed money and buy him a plane ticket back to Alabamy so he can retire and eat his moma's home cooking till he explodes. Step four would be draft a QB in the 2010 draft (preferably one with brains) or get a veteren in free agancy. Step five would be cut Kirk Morrison, Tommy Kelly, Standford Routt, and Terdell Sands on defense. On offense, cut Cooper Carlisle, Cornell Green,  and Javon Walker. Step 6, get a veteren receiver in free agency, and an OT in free agancy. These are the steps necessary to bring the Raiders back to where they belong...ATOP THE FOOTBALL WORLD!

...It's one thing to be a team with an over zealous, control hungry owner whose lost his mind and his bladder. But it's another thing to have a woman batterer as a head coach. Get rid of Cable please. I don't want wife beater cowards to be a part of my organization. His record alone is enough to fire him. Spare yourself any legal ramifications and fire him for on field performance. Don't even mention the violence against women. This is not acceptable.

I personally do not believe the coach is entirely to blame for the dismal performance of the Raiders, whta we have in the team a a few individual with no Raider Pride who do not give a shoot, about the team, the history or the fans, the sad thing is that they know the blame will be put on Al Davis or the coach.

Not only Russell, but everytime he throws an interception, his body language, say "oh well", instead of "get the Freaking ball back, so that I can atone for it.

Defense shows up when thy feel like it, so I as a fan will only show up to the stadium when I feel like it

Too bad Directv does not give refunds

Simple. Hire Brian Billick he is itching to be back coaching. Hire our special teams coach Jeff Fassells dad Jim Fassell as offensive coordinator then you wanna go get John Lynch secondary coach he's a California native, Marcus Allen Running backs coach, Tim Brown or Jerry Rice wide receivers coach....See where im going...?...It is painful to watch this team...!!!..Listen to them on the radio...!!!!..I am A RAIDER FAN FOR LIFE..!!..Where is the fight for your hometown fans..?..I say AXE Cable because The RUNNING game is what we got..We can do it inside outside..Wildcat....But get creative with running the ball!!!!..Wide receiver screens..Tight end screens.J Russell sucks right now but i do not think the play calling is helping him out at all. Too predictable. It requires him to think too much, to make decisions he cannot make yet..!!! Whats up NAtion hit me up.......

I agree with alot of whats been said. Gruden was an excellent coach who put in the time..!!!!!..Worked under Hall of Fame coaches and Had a plan and executed it..!!

Cuts to the team i would make are these; Javon Walker, Gerrard Warren, Stanford Routt, Cornel Green, Cooper Carlisle, Khalif Barnes, Jay Richardson, Sam Williams, Hirum Eugene.

Trade Michael Bush to Cleveland team or Green Bay  or whom ever we can get the best deal from.

Cleveland i would want one there lineman and a draft pick or a safety.

Eric Steinbach, Rex Hadnot, Hank Fraley or D lineman Corey Williams, Bring Kenyon Coleman back or even get Shaun Rogers and Brodney Pool from the safety and Joshua Cribbs for good measure..If they want Javon Walker I would say can do it fast enough.

Green Bay would only want Aaron Kampman and draft pick or Greg Jennings and a draft pick.
